Government contracting is one of the most unique professional ecosystems in the world. It brings together government agencies, private companies, entrepreneurs, acquisition professionals, and mission-focused leaders who all play a role in delivering solutions that support national priorities.
Our Story
GovCon Society was founded from firsthand experience inside the government contracting world.
Since 2011, our founder has been part of the GovCon ecosystem — starting as a part-time office manager and gradually working through the many layers of the industry. Over time, it became clear just how unique this space really is.
Government contracting has its own language, processes, and culture. It requires navigating regulations, partnerships between government and industry, and mission-driven work that impacts the public in meaningful ways.
Working inside this world revealed something important: GovCon is a community.
GOVCON Society was created to celebrate, connect, and support that community.

We are launching GovCon Society with merchandise designed specifically for the GovCon community. These products celebrate the culture, language, and inside knowledge of the government contracting world, the things only GovCon professionals truly understand.
It’s a fun and visible way to represent the industry and connect with others who are part of it.
